NIPA is an Association of lawyers, chartered accountants, bankers and other individuals and institutions desirous and committed towards the development of insolvency law in Nepal by fulfilling its objectives. NIPA was formed on March 13, 2003 (29/11/59).
NIPA is a non-profit non-governmental organization registered under the Association Registration Act 1977.

- To undertake activities to enhance business efficiency of different insolvent companies and individuals free of cost.
- To publish books, newsletters, magazines in the field related commercial laws, insolvency laws and other related laws.
- Undertake to resolve insolvency related issues by providing advice, consultation and counseling on domestic and international insolvency laws to government, quasi-government and non-governmental organization and individuals.
- To undertake research for the development of policy, rules and laws related to insolvency.
